The calendar is packed with fun for the whole family – from pond hockey tournaments to dog mush competitions (and the ever-popular Full Moon Party!)

Winter Event #1: 2024 Full Moon Party

  • When: January 27, 2024 | 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM 
  • Location: Dillon Marina

Bask in the glow of the full moon at the magical Full Moon Party taking place on the evening of January 27th from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. 

Hosted on the breathtaking frozen surface of Dillon Reservoir right next to the Dillon Marina, this free community event invites revelers of all ages to partake in invigorating winter activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, or ice skating on the illuminated Lake Loops (just be sure to bring your own equipment and lights!). 

Get your blood pumping as you glide along the ice and take in the dazzling moonlit views of the Rocky Mountains – and make sure to fuel up with light refreshments on site and dance the night away as DJ Justin spins lively tunes. Leashed dogs are welcome to join in on the fun!

Winter Event #2: The Colorado Youth Pond Hockey Tournament

  • When: February 10-11, 2024
  • Location: Dillon Marina

Gear up for a competition and fun at the 2024 Colorado Youth Pond Hockey Tournament, which will take place from February 10th to 11th. Hosted at the Dillon Marina against the scenic backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, this exciting tournament brings youth hockey players together to battle it out on the frozen Dillon Reservoir. 

Athletes ages 8-14 can register to play in age brackets, including 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions. The tournament kicks off on Saturday the 10th with the 8U and Girls brackets facing off. Sunday the 11th features competition between the 10U, 12U, and 14U teams. dog sled race dillon co

Winter Event #3: Colorado Mountain Mushers Sled Dog Race

  • Date: February 24, 2024 | Race Starts at 9:00 AM 
  • Location: Dillon Marina

Mush on over to the Dillon Marina on February 24th to witness the fast-paced action of the Colorado Mountain Mushers Sled Dog Race. Returning for another paw-some year, this family-friendly canine competition invites sled dog teams of all types and skill levels to participate. 

Courses range from the adrenaline-pumping 6-dog sled races to the delightfully cute 1-dog junior race. There’s even skijoring, bikejoring and canicross categories for those without full sled rigs to allow dogs of all sizes to run and pull to their hearts’ content. 

Spectators of all ages are encouraged to bundle up and line the dual track to cheer on the hard-working pups and their trusty human companions. Awards will be given to top finishers while the event fosters comradery and furry fun for all. 

Don’t miss your chance to witness these magnificent dog athletes in action as they kick up powder on their sled-pulling sprints around the scenic Dillon Reservoir.
